As the late Polish composer Sir Andrzej Panufnik approaches his centenary in 2014, an inaugural official website has been launched by his daughter and son, the classical composer Roxanna Panufnik and club music composer and producer Jem Panufnik. In addition to a full list of works, recordings and a comprehensive biography, the website also includes an ‘Unknown Panufnik’ section, featuring lesser-known works, film scores, protest songs and a rare jazz recording.

The website also showcases never-before-seen photos and reproductions of some of Panufnik’s hand-drawn diagrams (the starting points for many of his works), as well as audio excerpts from CPO's new Complete Symphonic Works of Andrzej Panufnik recordings by the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra and Konzerthausorchester Berlin conducted by Łukasz Borowicz. Volume 5 in the series, featuring Symphonies Nos 7 and 8, has just been released. Volumes 6 and 7 are due for release in 2013.

Panufnik's anniversary in 2014 will be marked by a number of concerts and events featuring first-rate performers, to be revealed in due course.
